BDSM stands for bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, sadism and masochism. It is certainly an unconventional form of foreplay and sex but also much more than that. Whilst mostly related to sex or pleasure, BDSM is almost a whole other world of fantasy. People can become completely different to what they would be like in everyday life. An alter ego can be used to explore these new and sometimes scary prospects. How far a person or couple delves into the world of BDSM really depends on what they’re comfortable with.
It’s a broad term for many subcategories but BDSM is generally one person being in the dominant role and one submissive. The dominant person has all the power in the scenario and can be referred to as the master, whilst the submissive is completely controlled and often humiliated (referred to as slave). They (slaves) may act like they do not enjoy what the master is subjecting them to but in actual fact the whole situation is consensual and they find immense pleasure in this power exchange.
These acts can involve spanking, bossing around, name calling, pain, restriction and humiliation just to name a very small amount. The role playing usually comes with this as most people would be seen very differently in a normal situation.
Femdom is short for female domination. It’s a theme or style of BDSM that involves the female being the dominant role. Often there is complete role reversal. This is when the male pretends to be a woman who is being mistreated by the ‘man’. Sometimes the female will ‘force’ the male to wear lingerie or other womens clothing. She’ll call him derogatory names for a female and use femdom toys on him.
Femdom sex toys include dildos or strap-ons for penetration, whips, ties, handcuffs, nipple clamps and so much more. It is important that femdom toys are used on the male with full consent.
